My name is Teddy Ott. Most people in education call me Dr. Ott. I was born and raised in Thomasville, Alabama. I moved to Waco, TX, when I was 15 years old, where I would graduate high school from Waco Midway. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Liberty University, a Master of Education in Administration/Educational Leadership from Lamar University, and a Ph.D. in Church Growth and Leadership at Newburgh Theological Seminary.  I am certified EC-12 Special Education, 4-8 Generalist, EC-12 Principal, and EC-12 Superintendent. I started my career in education in 2005 after a 15-year career in upper management in the automotive industry. I have served as an 8th-grade math teacher, special education teacher, coach, special education coordinator, director of special education, director of special populations, MTSS director, assistant middle school principal, EC-12 principal, and as assistant superintendent. I left education twice for 2 years each time. Once for full-time ministry from 2012-2014 and again to open an Allstate Agency from 2016-2018. I have served full-time and bi-vocational as lead/senior pastor of three churches in a 25-year ministry. I have 6 books published and am currently working on 2 more. My wife Kelly and I have been married almost 33 years, and we have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. Kelly has served in education for over 19 years. This is the first time in my 15 year career in education that Kelly has not worked alongside me. I would like to share with you my vision for myself and Three Way ISD. As a person and a leader my commitment is to the pursuit of excellence in everything. Excellence is my goal in my relationship with Christ, in personal fitness, spiritual fitness, my role as a leader, a dad, or a husband.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might…

Philippians 1:9-10 And this I pray, that your love may abound (i.e., excel) still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

I believe that excellence is achieved through commitment, dedication, and established by ensuring the right systems and support are in place. This is my commitment to Three Way ISD. As a result, I am sharing part of the plan.
