Registration Night

 

Get ready for the 2026–2027 school year! Join us for Registration Night and Pre-K/Kindergarten Round-Up on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. This come-and-go event is open to all families, including returning in-district students, current and new transfer students, and incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Representatives will be available to assist with registration, answer questions, and help guide you through the process. Families can also explore information tables featuring student programs, extracurricular opportunities, and more. See below for details on each area that applies to you!

In District Students
During registration night all in district students will turn in an updated student and parent information sheet, income survey, and proof of residency documentation if not already turned in. Accepted proof of residency documents:

  • Current tax appraisal documentation showing ownership
  • Current Mortgage Statement
  • Current Lease / Rental Agreement in your name
  • Notarized Affidavit from property owner that you reside at the address and a copy of property owner’s proof of residency
  • Employee provided housing requires a letter from the employer with name and address of resident.
  • Current Water, Sewer, Trash, Gas or Electric bill

Once all forms are submitted, the online registration form will be filled out for each student. Computers and district staff will be available to assist as needed.

Currently Enrolled Transfer Students
A transfer student is any student that does not live within Three Way ISD district lines. If you are a transfer student who is currently enrolled in Three Way ISD you will fill out and submit your transfer application. You must also turn in an updated student and parent information sheet and income survey.

All transfer applications must be approved by district administration. If approved you will receive an online registration form via email at a later date. A computer and district staff member can be made available to you upon request.

New Transfer Students
A transfer student is any student that does not live within Three Way ISD district lines. If you are a transfer student who is not currently enrolled in Three Way ISD you will fil out and submit your transfer application. Your transfer application must include the following:

  • income survey
  • current shot record
  • current attendance records
  • current discipline records
  • last report card
  • most recent STAAR test scores
  • course transcript (for grades 7-12 only)

You can request these documents from your students current district. These documents must be provided by a parent and must be turned in with your transfer application in order to be considered.

All transfer applications must be approved by district administration. If approved you will receive an online registration form via email at a later date. A computer and district staff member can be made available to you upon request.

Pre-K / Kindergarten Round Up

 

Incoming Pre-K Students
Stop by to meet our Pre-K teacher and get a glimpse of what a typical day looks like for our littlest Braves! This is a great opportunity to put a face to the name, ask questions, and learn about daily routines, expectations, and how we help students adjust to the school environment. We know starting school can feel like a big step - for both students and parents - and we’re here to help make that transition as smooth and reassuring as possible.

Pre-K enrollment is based on state eligibility requirements. See the criteria below to determine if your child qualifies for enrollment in our Pre-K program:

  • Students who will be 3 years old before September 1st may qualify to start Pre-K 3.
  • Students who will be 4 years old before September 1st may qualify to start Pre-K4.

To be eligible for enrollment students must meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • unable to speak and comprehend the English language
  • is educationally disadvantaged (eligible to participate in the national school lunch program)
  • is homeless, as defined by 42 USC, §11434a, regardless of the residence of the child, of either parent of the child, or of the child's guardian or other person having lawful control of the child
  • is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority
  • is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
  • is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (foster care) following an adversary hearing held as provided by Family Code §262.201 or has been in foster care in another state or territory, but currently lives in Texas
  • is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award

In addition, all new incoming Pre-K students must bring a copy of their social security card, birth certificate, and shot records, fill out a home language survey, as well as submit the documents listed above for in district or transfer students as applicable.

Students who are not eligible for enrollment may turn in their application documents and may be approved based on availability. If approved you will receive an online registration form via email at a later date. A computer and district staff member can be made available to you upon request.


Incoming Kindergarten Students
Come meet our Kindergarten teacher and learn what a “day in the life” of a Kindergarten student looks like! Families will have the chance to ask questions, hear about classroom routines, and get a better understanding of what to expect during the school day. Starting Kindergarten is an exciting milestone, and we’re here to help ease any nerves and make sure both students and parents feel confident and prepared for the year ahead.

  • Students who will be 5 years old before September 1st can start Kindergarten.
  • All new incoming Kindergarten students must bring a copy of their social security card, birth certificate, and shot records, fill out a home language survey, as well as submit the documents listed above for in district or transfer students as applicable.

FFA
Learn more about our FFA program and how students can get involved in leadership, agriculture, and hands-on learning opportunities. We are also currently seeking community members interested in serving as FFA Booster Club board members—stop by to learn how you can support our students and program!

CTE (Career & Technology Education)
Our school counselor will be available to help secondary students and families explore CTE pathways and course options. Stop by to learn more about available programs, graduation endorsements, and how students can begin planning for future careers.

UIL / Athletics (Grades 6–12)
Planning to participate in UIL athletics? Stop by to meet with our athletic director and school nurse. Families can ask questions about sports programs, participation requirements, and upcoming opportunities. The nurse will also be available to collect required UIL paperwork and share information about an upcoming health fair offering free sports physicals.

TYSA (Tribe Youth Sports Association)
Interested in youth sports opportunities? Visit the TYSA table to learn about available programs and how to get involved. Our athletic director will also be available to answer questions and help connect families with youth sports opportunities in our community.

Why do I have to fill out an income survey?

  • determines Pre-K eligibility
  • required for TWISD to maintain CEP (community eligibility provision) which provides free breakfast and lunch to all students
  • helps maintain TWISD Title 1 status (attached to Title 1 funding)
