Three Way ISD is pleased to once again provide our students with age-appropriate education focused on mental wellness, emotional well-being, and suicide prevention.

📅 Tuesday, September 15, 2026

This year's presentation is provided through Erika's Lighthouse, a nonprofit organization that offers school-based mental health education designed to promote emotional wellness, reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and build resilience. Students will learn skills such as:
💙 Recognizing big feelings
💙 Practicing healthy coping skills
💙 Developing healthy habits
💙 Identifying trusted adults and knowing when to ask for help

The presentation will be led by Paula Green, MSN, RN, CCRN, CFRN, Trauma Injury Prevention & Outreach Coordinator with Texas Health Resources Fort Worth Level I Trauma Center.

What Parents Need to Know

Students whose parents/guardians have not opted out of the district's Early Mental Health Prevention and Intervention and Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention education will participate in the presentation scheduled for their grade level.

Students whose parents/guardians previously opted them out of these areas of instruction will not attend their grade-level presentation and will be supervised in an alternate setting during that time.

If you have questions about the program or your student's participation, please contact Nurse Allison.

We believe giving students the language, skills, and support systems to recognize when they or someone else may be struggling is an important part of keeping our Braves well, strong, and safe. ❤️🖤
